Theory Courses

Air Gold Coast offers theory of aeronautical knowledge training through its formal "Ground School".  Air Gold Coast's full time theory courses provide comprehensive training toward Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) aeronautical knowledge examinations.

Air Gold Coast currently offers the following theory courses:

  • Basic Aeronautical Knowledge/Recreational Pilot Licence
  • All 7 Commercial Pilot Licence subjects

2025 Air Gold Coast Theory Course Dates

Instrument Rating (IREX) Theory Courses will be held at Air Gold Coast on the following dates (subject to change):

  • February 3 - 14
  • April 14 - 25
  • June 23 - July 4
  • September 1 - 12

Students who are not undertaking flight training courses at Air Gold Coast are also welcome to join theory classes.  For further information or bookings, please contact us via our contact form.

Aerodynamics Theory Course

CADA

CPL Aerodynamics Theory Course is conducted over five (5) consecutive days (Monday to Friday) from 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. daily. Upon completion of the course an Examination (conducted at CASA's Testing Facilities) will be scheduled (normally the week following the Course)

Air Law Theory Course

CLWA

CPL Air Law Theory Course is conducted over five (5) consecutive days (Monday to Friday) from 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. daily. Upon completion of the course an Examination (conducted at CASA's Testing Facilities) will be scheduled (normally the week following the Course)

CHUF

CPL Human Factors Theory Course is conducted over five (5) consecutive days (Monday to Friday) from 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. daily. Upon completion of the course an Examination (conducted at CASA's Testing Facilities) will be scheduled (normally the week following the Course)
